Dan Moyer has spent a lifetime as a working cowboy for ranchers in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Oregon. His grandfather homesteaded a ranch at Meeker, Colorado and he can never remember not being around cattle and horses.

Dan has cow-bossed on many large outfits that have exceeded one million acres. He has started colts since he was a boy and is known for always riding good horses.

Dan has caught wild cattle for ranchers and the BLM in Utah and Colorado. He now lives in Nucla, Colorado where he rides for neighboring ranches, trains horses and conducts horsemanship and ranch roping clinics.

Dan has been a two-time winner of the Descanso California Ranch Roping contest as well as a serving as judge for the competion.

Dan also braids and sells beautiful rawhide gear from his home workshop in Nucla.
